Opps!!! My dad was on the cattle drive when a calf darted of to the side so he went to go get it and the horse slipped on the gravel. My dad kissed the road and now you see what happened! It looks a ton better now he just got the stiches out and it now just looks a little scraped!!!!

Spring Break

To begin our 'spring Break me and Mason got the idea to spell our last name on the hill across the street from our house. We enjoyed playing up on the hill but, it is still not finished.

Then for the weekend we spent one night at Little America in SLC, then we enjoyed the day at Temple Square, Joshep Smith Memorial Building, and Church History Museum! We all had a good time!!!!!

Sorry I have gotten real behind. We all have been very busy lately! Mom just got a new job and works alot at the St. Marks hospital. Dad is going to school online. Mason is still playing the piano and enjoys it, and I have been really busy with dance, school and piano lately!

On Thursday March 25th at 8:00 P.M on BYU TV me and my family will be on a COOKING SHOW!!!!! The Food Nanny (Liz Edmunds) came and rescued us. She taught my dad how to cook a few things and helped us arrange a calander that shows what we are eating! When they filmed it they came to our house and were there from 6:00 in the morning to about 10:00 at night. Above are a few pictures of when they were here. (Hope you can watch)

Wow, my mom has missed alot! For us things are pretty normal Treyson is two and hard to keep up to, Mason just finished a football season and loves to play the piano, and for me I am dancing, playing the piano, and have a 4.o GPA. Mom is always busy working and is the Stake Primary President, but I think dad has the hardest job yet keeping track of Trey and keeping the house clean!

So Mady competed in her first Queen Contest. (Something that Jasin swore his daughters would never do.) But it turns out she has quite a knack for it. She worked very hard and it paid off. It was a fun day. But we were told several times that now the real work begins. Our summer is going to be very busy. She has to be in 4 parades and even more Rodeos. ( It will be interesting since Jasin just sold his truck.) I'm sure it will all work out.

Mud

Yes I know it's called a "mud" room,
but I am so tired of cleaning up so much mud!

Spring Happenings

Mason turning 8, and choosing to be baptized.

Dance, Dance, and More Dance!

Pretty much everything Mady does, and talks about, has to do with dance these days. She loves it, and want's to be just like her instructors. She has a lot of fun.

Pinewood Derby 2008

So Mason and Jasin competed in their very first Pinewood Derby. They worked hard on thier car, and Grandma Jennie help with the awsome flame paintjob. At the end of the night Mason ended up in 3rd Place. Wow! Jasin also has decided that he is going to take back all the times that he said he was never going to make Mason go to scouts.(Jasin earned his Eagle Scout when he was 14 so he sould stop going.) He now admits that the scouting program is a good thing for boys to do.(And no it's not because they took 3rd in the derby)

Little League Wrestling

So Mason attended his first wrestling tournament. It was unlike anything I have ever seen. There were about 150 little boys (and a few girls) ages 4 to maybe 12 or 13 running around in singlets mauling each other like puppies to "warm up". I wish I would have taken a picture, because my description of the mass chaos doesn't give it justice. I think Mason was terrified to brave the warm up session because he didn't leave my side. After a lot of coaxing and a few tears Mason won his first two matches, but lost his last match in the championship round to a little guy fron Green River. We thought he did great. But he said he's never wrestling again. So I guess we'll see.

Our little man is one. Wow, this last year has gone faster than any year in my entire life. I assumed as my kids got older, things would get let crazy. How wrong I was! Madysin is now 10 years old and is very involved in cougar pride team at school, dance( 2x a week), piano once a week, achievement days, Treyson's nanny(she's a wonderful babysitter), the list goes on and on. Mason will turn 8 in two weeks and he participates in freestyle wrestling , little league basketball, and will soon be involved in cub scouts. They keep us hoping. Thank heavens Jasin is such a great dad and does about 75% of the Taxi driving. Jasin is busy too by the way, he has gone back to school and is taking the prerequisites to try and get into a physical therapy program.

Raising children is such a big job, but I feel very blessed to have the privilege. And I cannot describe the joy that a baby brings into a home. Happy Birthday Treyson, we all love you.

New Roommates

So our new roommates Dusty and Rachel finally got moved into out basement this month. Our family is so excited to have them here. Jasin and Mason are especially happy about Dusty's decision to buy a Wii. Mason is still the undefeated champion at our weekly Boxing tournament. Jasin is in charge of the brackets of course.
Treyson is also going to be turning One in about a week and a half. I can't believe it! It seems like it was just yesterday when my water broke at work and he was born 2 hours later.

Christmas 2007

Christmas, as always, went great again this year. We had anywhere from 4 to 10 extra people sleeping at our house from Christmas eve until after the new year. It was very enjoyable to have a house so full of family and friends. There were four new babies born to our family this year. Treyson, Mckade, Syndee and Ethan got to spent some time together, for the first time. Amazingly enough our four new babies that were spread out over about 7 months, weigh about the same amount.(However, Sydnee is definitely smaller than the three boys) It was a great Holiday season.

Annual Christmas Tree Harvest 2007

On Saturday, we went on our annual Christmas tree harvest up swifts. Kent and Sheri, Derek, Stacy and their girls and even Grams Leavitt came. It was a lot different this year because there was NO snow! It did however, make getting the trees a bit easier.
On Saturday night we had all the lights on the tree, and had begun to hang some of the ornaments. After the kids were all in bed, Jasin walked in the kitchen to get a drink of water just in time to see the tree tip over. What a mess! Needless to say we moved the tree over next to the stair case, so it won't tip again. I guess it's a little too tall.

Turkey Trot 2007

On Saturday our whole family ran in the annual 5K turkey trot in Kamas. Katie ran with us also. We tried to talk Mason in to running the kids 1 mile fun run, but he was adamant that he run the 5K. At one time we talked about staying together, but with the competitiveness in our family that lasted about 50 yards. So it was Mason, Treyson and I in the very back. By the time we were in front of the Middle School (we started at the High School) Mason was crying, saying why did you make me do this?! I want to stop. But we carried on. A few times Mason joined Treyson to rest on top of the stroller(but he would quickly jump off every time a car was coming.) At the end of the race we were still in last place, but we could see three or four people in front of us. I told Mason (if he would get off the stroller) we could beat those people in front of us if we ran hard. In the end there were a set of stairs leading up to the track and the finish line. By that time Mason could hear the crowd cheering and took off up the stairs in a dead sprint to cross the finish line. As for me and Trey I couldn't get the stroller up the stairs, so I took the car seat off the stroller and carried him to the finish line.

5 K stats: Katie finished 2nd in the 17 and under, and Mady finished 3rd. Jasin finished 3rd in his division. Mason, Trey an I did not finish last!

Trip to St. George

We got to go to St. George this weekend to watch Clif play in Dixie's Homecoming game against Azuza Pacific. Unfortunatly they didn't win, (the final score was 20 to 30)but Clif had a couple of great tackles. And the kids had fun playing with the mascot. We also made a quick trip to Mesquite to visit Grandma and Grandpa Phillips. We played a little miniature golf and did some go cart racing. The weather was beautiful, about 90 degrees on sunday,(Jasin thought it was waaaaaay too hot) we thought it was wonderful.

Mady the Model

About a week ago, the ski and snowboard clothing company"Marker" needed a girl Mady's size to model their products for their 2008-2009 winter catalog. Stacy Santo's boys were also involved so she called Mady. She had so much fun, Katie wanted to do her hair and make-up and also came along to watch. They took all the pictures at Deer Valley Resort. Mady didn't get paid for her first photo shoot, but they let her choose a full outfit of her choice. Pretty Cool
